A Year with Andrew Robert: Achievements and Future Goals to better serve the customers

Starting as a paramedic in his hometown of Windsor, Ontario, Andrew Robert embarked on a journey of growth, taking on increasing responsibility. He held various roles, including overseeing EMS operations and shaping crucial policies. He also played a key part in standardizing equipment and developing groundbreaking medical protocols, including the Public Access Defibrillator program grants. “I take pride in establishing this protocol for heart attack management, which has contributed to changing the standard of care across Ontario,” he shares.

Expanding Expertise and Addressing Key Challenges

Since joining Demers and Crestline a year ago, the Regional Sales Manager for Ontario and Atlantic Canada has broadened his focus from Demers products also to encompass Crestline products. This shift has enhanced his ability to address diverse customer needs and tackle challenges such as lead times. “When I started, I was primarily learning the ropes. Now, I’m actively working to solve problems within our current complex environment, including addressing long delays and production challenges,” he explains. While progress is ongoing, Andrew remains dedicated to improving production scheduling to reduce the time fleet managers keep old ambulances on the road and enhance service efficiency.

His deep background helps him understand and support fleet managers and paramedics effectively. “I aim to be seen as an extension of their teams—someone who understands their needs and helps solve their problems,” he says. This ability to bridge operational needs with manufacturing solutions reflects his commitment to adding customer value.

Looking Forward: Innovation and Improvement

Andrew is particularly excited about the advancements brought by the Demers eFX Ambulance project. “The electrification of our vehicles is capturing attention, but what excites me even more are the ergonomic and safety improvements we can bring into standard ambulances. This is similar to how innovations from high-performance vehicles eventually enhance everyday models. We’ll see lasting advantages from this project for years to come,” he notes.

Adapting to an Evolving Industry

Looking ahead, Andrew aims to deepen his knowledge of Crestline products and build strong relationships with new customers. He emphasizes the importance of adaptability in a rapidly evolving industry. “The role of Regional Sales Manager will continue to evolve with technological advancements and changing customer expectations. It’s crucial to stay aligned with our core values and remain responsive to customer needs,” he says.
