The innovative ambulance manufacturer will participate in Paramedic Services Week in Canada and National EMS Week in the United States.

May 15, 2024 – Beloeil, Quebec | Van Wert, Ohio:
Demers Ambulances, a leading Canadian-based ambulance manufacturer with an extensive dealer network in the United States, is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming National EMS Week and Paramedic Services Week. These two important events will be observed from May 19-25, 2024.

National EMS Week and Paramedic Services Week, organized by respected professional associations in both countries, provide an opportunity to honor and recognize the dedicated providers in the EMS community. During this week-long celebration, Demers Ambulances will demonstrate its support with engaging social campaigns that showcase appreciation for emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics, and the entire EMS workforce. They will also run a special giveaway online, host a BBQ for local paramedics, and fundraise for a worthy organization.

“It’s always fun when National EMS Week and Paramedic Services Week overlap,” says Scott Sawatsky, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Demers Ambulances. “With a strong customer base in Canada, where we are headquartered, and a vast network of dealers and customers in the United States, it’s wonderful to celebrate both events in one week. Regardless of the country, the significance of the EMS profession is acknowledged universally. EMS professionals exhibit unwavering compassion and selflessness as they help their neighbors during critical times. It is our honor to take a moment during these events to recognize and celebrate their exceptional dedication.”

Paramedic Services Week 2024 in Canada will recognize the invaluable contributions of paramedics and EMS providers. This week-long celebration has the theme “Help Us, Help You.” Overseen by the Paramedic Chiefs of Canada,  Demers Ambulances is a proud Gold Sponsor of the organization and its commitment to advancing and aligning paramedic leadership in Canada. Along with the social posts and giveaway, Demers will host a Paramedic Appreciation BBQ for local paramedics and help the Canadian Paramedic Memorial Foundation fundraise for a memorial to honor Canada’s fallen paramedics.

National EMS Week 2024 in the United States is celebrating its 50th anniversary. President Gerald Ford established the annual event as a testament to EMS practitioners’ critical role in our communities. Led by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), this milestone year will emphasize the remarkable contributions of EMS professionals under the theme, “Honoring Our Past. Forging Our Future.” Daily themes throughout the week will further showcase the diverse aspects of EMS care.

Throughout National EMS Week and Paramedic Services Week, Demers Ambulances will actively raise awareness, share valuable resources, and express gratitude for the dedicated men and women who provide exceptional care to their communities on their social platforms. They will also host an online giveaway open to all EMS professionals in the United States and Canada; winners from each country will receive lunch for their service.
