September 11, 2023 – Beloeil, Quebec: Demers Ambulances, Braun Ambulances, Crestline Coach, and Medix Specialty Vehicles (DBCM) are pleased to announce a significant leadership transition and the appointment of a new Regional Sales Manager in Canada.
After a remarkable tenure spanning over 19 years with Demers Ambulances and more than 30 years in the EMS industry, Mr. Fred Laurin, the Ontario Regional Sales Manager, will retire in March 2024. His contributions and influence within the organization have been substantial, and he leaves behind a lasting legacy.
While Fred’s retirement is a moment of reflection and appreciation, Demers Ambulances prepares for a seamless transition. In line with this, the company is delighted to introduce Mr. Andrew Robert as the new Regional Sales Manager for the Ontario and Atlantic Canada region.
Andrew Robert brings with him an impressive 38-year career in the EMS sector, including over two decades in senior leadership roles, where he honed his expertise in operations, procurement, and capital planning. Most recently, Andrew retired as the Director and Chief for the County of Simcoe Paramedic Services, where he served diligently for more than 17 years.
The transition plan includes a comprehensive knowledge transfer process, ensuring that customers continue to receive the exceptional service Demers Ambulances is known for. Both Andrew and Fred will work closely with stakeholders to ensure a smooth handover, maintaining uninterrupted customer relationships.
In the coming weeks, Andrew and Fred will personally meet with customers to address any questions or concerns. Demers Ambulances also looks forward to reconnecting with customers at the upcoming Ontario Association of Paramedic Chiefs Fall Symposium at Blue Mountain in late September, providing an opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen partnerships.
